The District of Columbia Mechanical Code Section 1107.2 states the following: Refrigerant piping shall not be installed in an enclosed public stairway, stairway landing or means of egress. This modification is a request to confirm that refrigerant piping for an A1 refrigerant may be installed above the ceiling in a residential common corridor in a multifamily residential condominium building and that we may install this piping in the corridor ceiling of the above referenced project without the installation of a fire rated enclosure.
